Boxee Rocks on Ubuntu

Category
Boxee is open-source connected TV, or at least that's the way it's understood by PCWorld. At the recent Consumer Electronics Show, Internet media was the rage, and Boxee stood out by supplying a free, open-source platform.

I've been "alpha" testing it for several months, and have been surprised by how slick and smooth it presents video, music and graphic images. Funny to think that it's based on the XBox Media Center project.

If you are using Ubuntu, then I'd recommend sampling Boxee. If it continues to make good, I plan to cut off our cable this year.
