On Friday, Secunia released a security alert for the Lotus Notes client, releases 6.x and 7.x.
Interestingly, Lotus has simultaneously released a technote that identifies the Secunia documentation, explains the issue and also recommends upgrading.
So, it's kind've anticlimatic when the trade journals talk about IBM "patching" Notes. Technically, a scheduled upgrade isn't a patch and the handling of this exploit, its documentation and fix are, well, boring.

Update to version 6.5.5 or 7.0.1.
