Powerful Visual Aid to Google

Category Management

Like most IT professionals, Google has been an important tool on my desktop, long before it became an internet standard of its own. I've become better and better at using it effectively, and know most of the advanced settings. However, http://www.touchgraph.com puts a completely different presentation on the results.

With Touchgraph, an applet is used to generate all the links that relate to a specific site. For instance, the graphic that I'm showing is my own site. By clicking on one of the entries (e.g., http://www.EdBrill.com) then its links are expanded, and I find an entire new set of sites related to Linux, many of which I never knew existed.

This site should come with a warning. I quickly found myself checking all kinds of sites and finding what I needed much faster than before, but it's a great temptation to check every site.

Gravatar Image1 - Sometimes people are layered like that. There's something totally different underneath than what's on the surface. But sometimes, there's a third, even deeper level, and that one is the same as the top surface one. Like with pie.
