Apress Free Download on Web Services

Apress has released some of their texts as PDFs, and that includes their "Google, Amazon, and Beyond" publication on consuming web services. Here's their tag line: While many books are focused on the underlying technologies of web services and others are dedicated to providing web services, few books show how to consume web services. Google, Amazon, and Beyond: Creating and Consuming Web Services provides a thorough review of the technologies and techniques for connecting client applications to services of all kinds.


Slashdot recognized it for it's writing and comprehensive overview. While not absolutely current, if you are a Domino professional getting into Web Services, this is a good introduction at the cost of a free download.

Gravatar Image1 - It is the lack of information such as this that frustrates the people who are learning about web services. Sometimes it's assumes that all people ever want to do is create web services and not consume them. I have downloaded the book and will definitely put the information to use.
