Domino Server Performance

Category Administration
Thanks to Gerco Wolfswinkel, I was alerted to the upgraded IBM cookbook publication, “Domino Server Performance.” A must read for any Domino administrator.

Years ago (R5 days), Lotus ran a course on Domino Server Performance (they even had a certification exam tagged to it). It was a great course that encouraged the use of the Server Load Utility (and its bizarre scripts) and then dissected the consequences of an overloaded server. The course looked at different operating systems, and the course material served as a solid reference.

Print up the Domino Server Performance guidelines and you can start to make a lot more sense out of your Domino event monitors and the DDM. This document is especially noteworthy for its in-depth presentation of Windows as the host server.
