VARBusiness Recognizes the Promise of Lotusphere
Category IBM/Lotus
Ed Scannell of VARBusiness has written up a "Big Blue Strikes Back" analysis of Lotusphere. He sees the value of moving "past traditional, more expensive client-server solutions, such as Vista and Office 12." Oddly, though, he perceives IBM's intention with the Workplace-Sametime-Hannover Eclipse platform as widening the "focus of its eternal competition with Microsoft from mere messaging to full-blown collaboration." Hm, Lotus Notes has been all about collaboration since 1989.
